This is a good school, as in above average, for the price, especially if you are in-state, it is quality education that's quite affordable. Yes every University has pros and cons, but overall, Southern Illinois is a decently reputable school nationwide and has some good things going for it. Faculty for the most part are pretty sharp, the community is quite dull but not too bad, the school has improved its recreation center and library are all nice now. Make the most of your opportunity is school and look on the bright side of things.
