Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
Students are, in general, sharp. There are, of course, outliers but for the most part they are in a class to learn, not to simply meet a requirement. In the bio department the faculty are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will schedule meetings with you to help you understand or work with your schedule. Some of the other departments seemed to have issues - politically the psych department has too much power, as does business. I had some terrible professors in other departments, but few and far between. The social scene is dominated by cliques. Pacific has a large Hawaiian population, which is extremely exclusive to the point of alienation. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part the Hawaii kids keep to themselves. Clubs are not really a factor, with the exception of "hawaii club", which also has too much power. Forest grove, the town, is becoming nicer but still would not be a good place to wander around at night alone. Athletics are not exceptional but are a good way to meet good people, but there is significant school spirit. Don't let one bad review turn you away - Pacific was a wonderful school. Your (potential) experience here will be amazing, you just have to make the most of it!
