SUNY Oswego is a great school situated relatively close to the city of Syracuse.  The school is well maintained and they really try to make everything look nice.  Although this does mean there's almost constant construction everywhere on campus.

Most people that go here major in business or education.  This school is making huge strides in the business department and it is very competitive.  It's now national renowned and recognized for the achievements the school has made in recent years through the USNews college rankings and The Princeton Review.  The admissions are getting harder and harder every year.

Make no mistake though, this is a party school.  The students here in a large majority party a lot, and party hard.  There's not much in the surrounding city to do.  It's very residential so if you want something to do, you better learn to enjoy getting drunk.  Greek life is huge here also.  Multiple fraternities usually throw great parties every weekend.  It's very easy to become consumed in the party life and forget about school.  I myself have found myself thinking sometimes that this school feels like a party and you have to go to class sometimes too.  Students here usually manage and balance their workload well though.

The hockey team is another important part of Oswego.  After winning the national championship two years ago, they've been very good and are a lot of fun to watch.

SUNY Oz is a great school with a great social scene to top things off.  You'll have a great time if you come here.
