Bryn Mawr is a wonderful school, but there is definitely a type of person who would love it here. The course load is very heavy, especially with your freshman seminar, but there is not much mindless busywork. You are able to take classes at Haverford, but I feel like the bi-co is a bit biased against bryn mawr girls since the ratio of guys to girls is thrown off by it (about 4 girls:1 guy.) If you are interested in getting a wonderful education and meeting nice wonderful women then by all means, Bryn Mawr is the perfect place. If you are looking for parties every weekend, guys, or easy classes, you wont find it here. Haverford college is really close by and transportation is provided (a blue bus) so you can take classes there and go party there, but there are not very many guys (at all) and the parties arent that fun. Everyone is really really nice (really!) and all the stereo-types of the "weird" girls here isnt really true, there are plenty of "normal" girls here. One great thing about bryn mawr, is that there are so many different types of people that you're bound to find people you fit in with. People here are also really accepting. If you want the "normal" college experience though, DO NOT COME HERE. You will gain a different experience, but it wont be parties and frats and guys and alcohol all over the place. As a whole, everyone here is super nice, super friendly, and super smart.
