Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
UT is a decent school and it will get you a job after you finish college. Then again what decent school will not get you a job afterwards? It has a beautiful campus and unlike what a lot of the guys on this site said, the students are not arrogant or spoilt, but rather friendly and approachable.I have noticed that I find classes very easy and people here, are generally speaking idiots. If you want to party, and do drugs whilst getting good grades then this is the school for you. If you have ambition and drive and want to make it far in life, then look elsewhere. Look, UT will only get you a good job in Florida, other than that don't expect to run wallstreet if you graduate from here. The school spirit is very lacking and there is no sports team. Tampa is not a lively city, it is a finance area with no culture. The only time it gets alive is at night and only in certain areas. The beach is 45 minutes away by car and the fitness center on campus is always overcrowded (although it does provide everything important). As for my major, originally I came in as undecided but have decided to get into communcations. As it turns out, their program for communications is NOT good, so I will be transferring next fall. Their athletic training and business programs are their best programs, and if you graduate with these degrees, then you will get a good job guaranteed in Florida, but getting a good job elsewhere will be harder as UT does not have much of a reputation outside of Florida.Basically, if you got drive and determination, then don't come here. If you're looking for a school with good athletics and school spirit, don't come here. If you're looking to party at bars, clubs and in dorms or want to do drugs and still get good grades, then do come here.
