Acadia has been the best three years of my life so far. From day one I felt like I belonged here. The RAs to a lot to make you feel at home during Frosh Week. They plan activities to help you get to know your new classmates and dormmates. Almost all of the students here are nice and outgoing. The professors are also really nice people, although there are a few who seem to be less than keen on their jobs. The work is easier than I expected to be; it's quite easy to work the system to get good marks. The social life can be a little lacking as Acadia is located in a small rural town more than an hour away from Halifax. However, there are many student organisations to join. I personally recommend Acadia Fencing, AEGIS (the anime club), Ye Olde Gaming Club, and Dungeons & Dragons (if you're into that kind of stuff). The athletics at this school are not so impressive; more people attend the annual Cheaton Cup (hockey game between rival dorms Chipman and Eaton) than any other sports event. Overall, if you're looking for a friendly, welcoming place where you can be the big fish in a small pond, Acadia is the place for you.
