Pace University for a person of my personality is not great. I chose the Pleasantville campus because I wanted the traditional campus college experience and not the usual city life I was accustomed to which is what the NYC campus would provide me with, that was my only mistake. Nightlife: Judging from my friends and roommates, the campus is buzzing with nightlife; from Thursday night to Saturday night the party begins. However, I'm an introvert so all those parties aren't a comfortable climate for me. I much prefer a walk in the city and movies, again, my mistake for not considering Pace NYC instead. I know some people that have gotten into clubs and bars around Pleasantville numerous times with just a fake ID and on the odd occasion, with their Pace ID!Parking: The school has parking galore and allows all freshman to have a car registered on campus. Most of the kids here however got their car from mommy and daddy.Style: The usual style here is the regular college outfit—sweatshirt and jeans/sweatpants. The girls moslty wear Uggs, leggings, and a sweatshirt; a staple look here on campus. Aesthetics: The campus is absolutely gorgeous! However, most of the trees that make up the aesthetics of the campus will be knocked down in the upcoming years due to the merging of the Briarcliff campus into the Pleasantville campus. There are also many animals on campus like sheep, goat, the occasional turkey and deer, etc.Education: The bulk of my professors held a PhD and are extremely helpful and motivating. They are dedicated to their fields and will do anything to help the student, especially Freshman. The quality of the work I received is subpar. It could be more challenging but overall it's do-able. I know that for other majors like Biology and nursing majors, the work gets more and more difficult after your Freshman year. Dorming: The dorms vary greatly depending on what campus you choose; briarcliff or Pleasantville. The PLV dorms are alright, the closets are immense though. You can basically change in them. The dorms on briarcliff vary from building to building. Some rooms even have balconies.Dining: Pace uses Lackman Dining Services and it could be better. You can pretty much predict what will be on the menu everyday. The standard is, pizza, pasta, and tacos. Then there is the staple chicken with fries and burgers and wraps, sandwiches, and quesadillas. You pretty much have to be creative with what you order or else you'll get bored pretty soon of the food.Services: I have nothing bad to say about campus services, except for the lack of security during the day. The tutoring center is always helpful and knowledgeable as well as the library writing center that can help you bump up the grade on your paper. The career services center is awesome! Made my resume look like a million bucks and helps you with internships and finding a job on/off campus. Advisement: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!Sports: Only the girls Volleyball team is worth it. Every other team seriously sucks, Pace isn't a place for sports.Extra-currics and Activities: There are alot of great clubs and it's easy to create a new one. There also a whole bunch of new activities every week and definitely alot of volunteer opportunities. The only downside to this school is that it is a suitcase school—everyone goes home on the weekends. Also, the school is extremely expensive for a substandard education. Overall, the school is great for those who love making new friends and are extroverts. If you keep to yourself, you'll get bored quick because you'll never know about the underground events on campus that usual provide more of a fun factor then those that are advertised. If you're like me, definitely consider the NYC campus.
