Major: Sociology (This Major's Salary over time)
UOP isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I transfered here from a community college, and am just finishing up my first Semester here, I am currently a Sophomore. The professors aren't accessible at all, there is no support, (I've tried countless times to get a study group together) and you simply can't. There isn't any support. It's like do or die here, either you hope and pray that you can find a study group, or you take the exam, like I have done and do very poorly. I came to this school thinking different, I loved the people, I loved the campus, and everyone sceemed to be supportive when studying together. But now that I'm here, it's all fabracation-it's not true! The classes aren't small-hell the only class that is is my PacificSeminar class, which isn't even part of my major. The professors don't help you at all, and I'm a good student, I got mostly A's and B's through out high school, and here I'm lucky if I get a C. A lot of students struggle here, I can't tell you how many times I've heard students talking and needing support, and recieving none. DON'T COME HERE! It's not worth your time or money. I was orriginally a Psych major, and had to switch it because of the professors in the department, so I am leaving because this school doesn't have the program that I want to go into. So to prospective students: don't come here, look at another larger university, you'll have a better experience. That's the other thing; I don't feel safe on campus at all! The only social life is the greek sororities/frats, or sports. Is kind of like my high school, either your a greek, an athleet, or nobody. Even though I do want to go greek, if you don't, then expect to have not a good experience. So look somewhere else. You'll be glad you did.
