If you're a city person in spirit, Nichols is not the place for you. Student and professors are very friendly, and there's always a chance for extra help if you are behind. Academia Hall definitely needs some fixing up, but don't expect to have many classes in there unless you are a liberal arts major. Nichols is a great school if you are looking to be close to faculty. Some you may even be on a first name basis with. If you'd rather a large class where your teacher doesn't know your name, or you don't like presentations, Nichols is not for you.
