I'm attending for Graduate School. I am working on getting my Masters in Special Education. This is my first semester in the program. The professors I've had were great. I've enjoyed my classes, but the overall program is ridiculous. I was under the impression that I was going to pick the sections of the classes that I wanted to take. Then I was informed by friends that I did not register for classes someone did it for me. I emailed my adviser to find out if that was true and what I needed to do and he told me I didn't need to do anything. I was still not registered about a week later and I went in and registered myself for the classes I needed to take and for the sections that worked best for my schedule. I wanted a Monday and a Tuesday night class. I was then emailed by another lady saying that she couldn't register me because I had a hold (I had but I took care of it and registered myself) and that if she registered me she would sign me up for the Monday night class I wanted to take and the Wednesday night class(I had wanted the Tues. night class). She told me it was because that class which had the same course number was for grades 1-6 special ed. and the Tues. was for 7-12. They are the same class according to the online course catalog. I asked my adviser and the lady who was supposed to register me if it was a huge deal if I was to take the class on Tues. rather than Wed. b/c Tues. night is better for me and neither of them emailed me back. I went on to my account today to find that my schedule was changed from the Tues. night section of the class I registered for to the Wed. night section. No one informed me of this change! I'm very upset that the college administration has poor communication. I am also very, very upset that the school gives you no choice in when you are going to take your classes! If you want to go to a school where you have no choice in when you take your class go to St. John Fisher!
