Western allowed me to do well in the classroom, however by my senior year, I really disliked being here, most of the girls are very overweight and don't seem to realize it, the bar scene gets pretty old after about two weeks. The athletic programs are awful, the campus buildings look like something pulled out of the trash, and it is quite common to be in a classroom with maybe 3 or 4 other students, because people just don't go to class, and when they do, they sit there and vegetate. Macomb is a pretty terrible place to live, no matter if you live on or off campus. Not at all an active campus, most everyone is ridiculously overweight, chain smokes, and eats fast food daily. Part of that is that the Midwest is generally like that however, the worst of the worst end up here. It is extremely windy year round, and in the winter, there is a serious problem, because apparently plowing is optional in small towns, everything turns to ice. Another major concern, is that people are basically forced to drink heavily just to make, the place seem tolerable, and members of the opposite sex seem halfway desirable
