Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
I think Grove City College is a great school, but not for everyone.1. It is very difficult. Not crush-your-soul difficult, but you WILL have to work hard and you will have to spend a good amount of time working.2. There's isn't much to do besides school. The town of Grove City has almost nothing to do, but if you have friends on campus there are always people hanging out, watching TV, playing video games, and finding their own fun.3. You don't have to be a mindless conservative to go here. I've met plenty of people with different backgrounds and perspectives and people don't "shun" them.4. The rules HONESTLY aren't that bad, and intervis is no way as bad as people claim. So you have to keep a shoe in the door and can't have sex. What else do you expect from a Christian school? They have standards, but unless you don't follow the (pretty reasonable) rules, you shouldn't feel too stifled.5. At least in the English department, the professors are great, interesting, and really know their stuff. Just don't let first impressions bias you too negatively. I'm also taking a second major in communication studies, and, although the department isn't quite as good, it's only about ten years old. Comm department also has a wonderful new head who's working on good changes.
