Truman is not a very student-friendly school in some ways, particularly the library and student union's hours.

Some of the professors here are exceptional, though others decide your grade based on unknown determination (i.e. even though a student has done C level work, they will still get an A).

The undergraduate accounting program is most likely above average, but the graduate accounting program caters to students going into public accounting, and leaves little room for other options. Given the recent recession, public accounting is not a viable option for many, which leaves them to attempt to find jobs on their own, without much guidance. Additionally, though the program is good, it does not seem sustainable at this point, as the majority of faculty are to retire in the next 3-5 years and they have yet to hire quality faculty to replace them.

Most students in the graduate program receive B's, though it is possible to achieve an A.
