You are completely right. I can smell a scam school from over 4000 miles away. Really doesn't take much to know this when someone could come from not making decent grades in high school or not having university entrance courses and then get accepted with flying colors. Then get degree in four years on a very part time schedule. To have marks that are off the charts when going to this school and yet the brightest students in real university couldn't get. Also students have no clue what a major or a minor is and they have a degrees in names like no other. How could you not know? Then when you push questions at Keiser they can easily switch your "Degree" to another degree with a more similar name as a state university. There is a reason why they are private. All universities are private to some degree. Really when you pay for them they are private. The difference is that one "public university" will get state funding because they are approved, and accountable. What university wouldn't want to sign up for that if they could? Exceptions are to those like Harvard and Yale and a few others for reasons not explained here. Well good for you for the knowledge you have. Not make believing that you are working for a degree like some of us that actually worked long and hard for. Took me over five years to get my undergraduate degree full-time with lots of study time. G.P.A was 3.45 and at the time was the best I could do. Strange how Keiser students can get 100% for not so smart students. Must be a miracle school.Thank-you for your post. Sometimes the truth hurts. |

I was not only a student at Keiser University in Tallahassee, but also employed there. I would suggest 1. All students carefully check with state licensing and certification boards prior to entering any program. (The school may lie to you.) 2. Check with employers in your area prior to beginning school to see about Keiser's reputation. 3. VERY CAREFULLY REVIEW YOUR FINANCIAL AID DOCUMENTS—there are many complaints about excess charges or loan amounts. 4. If you are asked to walk into a class for a few minutes during the first week of classes, then given an ACADEMIC INTERRUPT—DO NOT FALL FOR IT. This is done so that you will have to pay for the class twice. I would suggest that all students check their records to see if there is a grade of "AI". If so, you just paid for that class, even though you did not get credit for it. You will have to pay for it again when you retake it. 5. I have been told that Culinary Students are being forced into online classes. The admissions counselors tell them they have to try the class first on-line and if they fail it, then they can have a real classroom teacher. (Once again, they are going to collect more tuition that way.) 6. You will be forced into online classes even if you do not own a computer. If you want on-campus classes, do not believe anything the admissions counselors tell you, make them put it in writing and get the president to sign it.This school is EXTREMELY DISHONEST, GET EVERYTHING PUT IN WRITING.
