As a freshman student at Clemson, I can already tell you I could not have made a better choice. After visiting friends at other universities in the South, it is apparent Clemson is very special. Faculty members are generally friendly and helpful. The students love being at Clemson (hence the 2009 Happiest Students ranking). Freshman dorms are not great, but they are not horrible either (just avoid Johnstone Main). The apartment complexes on campus are really nice. CAT Buses are very helpful, especially when you are not in the mood to walk all the way across campus. I feel the degree I will graduate with from here will be very useful in getting into grad school and later getting a job. The athletics are second-to-none, especially with Clemson reaching the ACC Championship in football this past season. GO TIGERS!So, if you are interested in going to college in the middle of the city without a college feel and hating your life, go to Georgia Tech or South Carolina. If you're interested in attending a top rate university with an amazing campus and happy students, come to Clemson.
