I love Olivet! I love the Christian atmosphere here. I get so sick of hearing all these students complain about the rules and about how strict everything is. It would have been wise of them to look into the school's policies before they decided to attend. Yes there are some rules that bother me every once in a while but the point is I signed up for them when I decided to go to Olivet. Furthermore, while I'm not elated about the rules now, I know they are training me to be an intelligent, disciplined adult.

As far as "being bored" that is totally up to the individual. If you go out and join clubs and make friends you will have plenty to do. My first semester I sat around and felt sorry for myself in my dorm. But my second semester at Olivet I decided I would make the best of my time there: and that is exactly what I have done. Through Olivet I've traveled the world, gotten to perform for thousands of people, and have met people I will NEVER forget. Attending Olivet was a bleesing for me. It is totally up to YOU if the same will be true for you… I would be glad to answer any questions anyone might have!

questionHow have you traveled the world? and performed for thousands? have you heard of the LA abroad program for theatre minors? and if so what's it like?
responseI have traveled the world because I stay involved in activities. For instance, I went on mission trip to Zambia, Africa. We have a music team that was in China just last week. Also the singing group I am a part of travels different states on the Nazarene region leading worship from week to week. I performed for thousands last summer at the Nazarene general assembly there was well over 20000 people there and my group did a special song for the service.
questionI'm catholic and I'm nervous that people won't respect my faith. I'm a very open person, and I believe I was put on this earth to love everyone and accept everyone, because that's just how I am. But I'm nervous that people will be pushy to get me to convert or join the Nazarene faith. I have no problem going to chapels and church services that aren't catholic mass, because I think that church is a personal time for prayer and to dedicate to god and how you do it specifically isn't what matters. But other people aren't always as open to other religions as I am, and I don't want to be shunned or something because of what I believe. My catholic faith is very strong, but I don't run around preaching about it because I think faith is a personal thing. I went to Protestant bible camp for two years and didn't have any problems, and it didn't shake my faith or anything. The different religions whether you're Hindu, Jewish, Islamic or what not shouldn't say that the others are wrong, but try to see what god put in their souls that makes them believe what they believe and learn from them. We should try to make ourselves better and learn from one another instead of arguing about who's right and who's wrong, because theirs no way to prove either side anyhow. These of course are my personal opinions, but I'm just curious if the student are accepting of Catholics in particular. Again I'm not big on broadcasting my religious affiliation, but i thought I would explain myself so you could understand where I'm coming from. I love learning about other religions and practices, and I just want to know if mine will be looked down upon by other students. I believe all Christians are "brothers and sisters in Christ" and I really hope that just because I am not Protestant I still count haha
