UNCC is one of those schools not unlike NC State that is pretty easy to get into but difficult to get out of. Many many people try to go into nursing and engineering and are sent packing. Maybe they are a little money hungry? But what university isnt? If you expect the world to kiss your ass once you start looking for jobs think again. Once piece of advice though if you come here you will need a car. And yes if you don't you will be bored because the campus is on a closed loop not unlike UCLA or other urban campuses. The campus is in an area surrounded by two major thoroughfares- University City Blvd (hwy 49) and North Tryon St. There is a lot of stuff you can get into downtown or in the surrounding area and contrary to some of the reviews the area is not crime ridden. From time to time there are car break ins especially at the beginning of the year. But they are a result of individual stupidity.. leaving crap in your car in plain site. Compared with the rest of the city though its a nice area. Dont let the morons who flunked out make you think differently. If you want a solid education for a decent price then UNCC is an excellent choice.
