Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I adore the University of Findlay. I originally was going o be a dressage major but switched at the last moment to western teaching/training. I came with one year of another, extremely challenging school under my belt. I expected the coursework to be as hard as my previous school but am now easily making B's and A's from my original C's and B's. Although I make good grades I am also learning A LOT. Several drawbacks to the school; I feel unsafe on campus at night. I come from a big city and have never felt unsafe in small towns. Several girls have been attacked or nearly attacked this year and I was followed by a man to my car while with another girl. I would carry pepper spray with you. The social scene is very limited if you are not into clubs or groups. I easily joined several organizations and my days are very busy, full of fun activities like stock team (amazing) and horse club. I easily made friends and we hang out all the time. People do drink on this campus, but I absolutely do not and have found it easy to party and go clubbing without having to drink and have found companions who do not drink as well. If you have any mental illnesses or disabilities I, at least, have found this school to be very willing to work with me. I however would not recommend their school psychologist. He can prescribe medication but is not an actual doctor which I find concerning. The food is much better than my previous school although to people who have only attended UF it is probably a little narrow. The people do have somewhat of a closed mindset. Coming from an art high school but being economically conservative it's a different setting but that's one point of college; to gain new ideas even if you don't agree with them. I would rate Findlay an A.
