I loved my time at F&M and am certain that it positively shaped the person I am today: intellectually inquisitive, financially successful, socially aware. Though I graduated almost 20 years ago, I recognize some of the same complaints in the current comments. F&M has always had highly competitive academics & a social life centered around the greek system. But we all knew that when we applied & did not think we were heading to NYU & the city that never sleeps. To complain about that once enrolled is disingenuous. I spent a guest semester at American University in WDC where I saw lesser academics but an amazing social scene. I spent a year abroad at University of Florence experiencing Italy's culture & language. Upon returning to F&M I appreciated it all the more, not less. My only regret of my college choice was the fact that we do not play big time college sports on TV every Saturday. But I knew that when I enrolled & choosing F&M contiinues to be the best choice I have made other than my choice of wife.
