Virginia Tech is an excellent school, but personally it was not a right fit for me and there are some negatives. First of all the school has a good reputation, great Football, and great food. However, I did not like the campus, felt as though it was too dull, too much concrete and medieval looking buildings that all look the same. The campus is fairly big, but has only one library on campus. Also you have to travel to a big off campus computer lab for all math classes, since they're all online. If your not over 21 there's basically nothing to do in the town other than watch movies in the small theater or eat in restaurants. And don't think about getting a fake ID for the bars because there are strict carding policies at most of them. There are house/apartment parties, but most of them suck and some of them are OK. Alot of other schools in VA have a much better social life than VT. The people here are mostly friendly and nice, and not the most attractive bunch. Also, the classes are fairly big and I barely learn anything in them because the teachers just lecture and theres no participation. I tried very hard to like this school and met a good amt of people but in the end just didnt work out. I transferred.
