I attended the Florham Campus in Madison. I was very excited to go to this school at first.I had received a rather large Finical Aid package as I am not rich along with a scholarship.

DO NOT BELIEVE THIS FINCIAL AID. I found out TWO WEEKS into the semester that we were not receiving the aid they had promised. They said we had made a mistake on the FAFSA. However, I know 3 other students who this happened to. This school is running a scam by luring in the poor with these finical aid packages than taking them away when it's too late to get the money back.

The school is not worth the money at all. The students there are just rich children who couldn't get into anywhere else. They are lazy and uninterested in academics. I'm no Ivy League student but I had hoped for some intelligent students. I was extremely disappointed. Most teachers fudge the grades so everyone passes. My Spanish teacher gave me an A although I did hardly anything in the class because she didn't teach us anything. Teachers are part time so you can't get any hours with them outside of class.

The residence halls are horrible. They are falling apart I stayed in the freshman dorms Twombly. They were falling apart, a sink in the bathroom actually exploded water on one of my friends when the tap came off. The people in the dorms are worse. My roommate began doing drugs and let a girl sleep in my bed when I was gone one weekend. My RA did nothing about it.

Public safety is horrible as well. My boyfriend came to visit and the officer told him how a girl was killed in the dorms by a boyfriend. He was being extremely hostile to my boyfriend and took his license and everything even though he wasn't staying the night. I tried to report him but they said we all have our bad days. Also public safety WILL NOT escort you. They are supposed to but even if you ask at night they WILL NOT do it. The path to the train station is not lit. In fact kids call it "the rape trail".

The staff is rude and unhelpful. There were very few that were kind. The librarians just gave you nasty looks which was a shame, in high school I was friends with our librarian. The library may be what depresses them. There are hardly any books worth reading for fun since none of the students read for fun I guess. There?s always one kid in the computer lab blasting music or talking loudly.

Kids also leave on the weekends. Luckily I could as well since I lived an hour away however for those out of state you're out of luck. The surrounding town is boring and there is little transportation. Clubs consist usually of 10 members sitting in a room bored. The literary magazine is pathetic, who knows where your tuition money goes because it is not funding student groups. Parties are few and they are off campus. Freshman usually take a cab to the frat parties which costs a lot of money and isn't worth it. The parties get busted by the cops pretty fast.

The cafeterias food is disgusting. The hours are horrible they schedule it almost perfectly so that you cannot use all your meals. Wasting more of your parents money. You're a big fat dollar sign to the school.

There are many students there that are so unhappy. I know many who are leaving. I know many who wish they had and can't. It's the most depressing thing to see.

Just don't go here. I transferred out and I am much happier going to a community college. I know many students are leaving along with me. Hopefully I will be at Rutgers next year getting the true college experience for the right price. I hope this persuades you not to go. I hope the university goes out of the business. I hope I can save you the time and money with my experience.
