I am a freshman at Keene State and about to start my second semester. I had a blast first semester. It was so easy to meet people and there are so many clubs and sports you can join, so take advantage of it! I felt like the first month of college was the best. The parties here are great, there are actually a good balance of kids here who do and don't party. For me I was definitely coming in wanting to party. But after looking at my first semester grades I am definitely going to lighten up on partying, and so are a lot of my other friends. So when you come here try to balance things well. If not, it's okay, you will learn!

What I have noticed here is that there are a lot of parties at the beginning of the semester and by the end of the semester there are close to none (for non Greek people at least.) And the Greek life is here at Keene, but it doesn't take over the school or anything. It's just here if you want it. But enough about partying.
Keene is a very good education school. So if you are looking into majoring in any type of Education, come here. And Keene is a great size! (You will appreciate it in the winter when its below zero degrees lol.) And residential life here is awesome, so definitely stay on campus as long as you could, there is so much offered by the RA's with cool programs.

And Keene is what you make of it. If you want to do nothing all day and not be social, then that's what you'll get. But if you want to get out there and meet people and join clubs, etc. Keene will be a fun place for you. Oh and the class sizes are small and all the teachers are so great, there are a few bad ones, but hey all colleges gave them.

Believe it or not I was going to transfer because I wasn't happy at Keene anymore, and it was mainly because my grades sucked-I went from a H.S GPA of a 3.6 to a college GPA of a 2.5. I was so mad at myself so I stayed in my room all day and just didn't do anything. And I just made Keene a bad place for myself. And now since I am home and reflecting on it. It was all my fault. Keene is the place to be if you want a college experience!

And at Keene your not just a number, your a person! You walk down Appian way and could point out at least 8 people you know =)
