Hey, thanks for writing the review. I am very much considering on going to DU and I was just wondering if you would call the student body at DU close minded or unwelcoming. I mean is the school obnoxiously full of snooty rich kids, like a lot of the comments say? Thanks |

Look. I know it sounds cliche, but college is what you make it. The adjustment IS going to be hard for the majority of people, whether people are willing to admit that or not. University of Denver really is a positive place. The campus is beautiful, the classes are small, and there is definitely a good social scene. However, I feel inclined to tell you that DU is a pretty "vanilla" place. The students are generally preppy and suburban. I'm not saying this is a bad thing (in fact, i am very mainstream in many senses.) Politically, the school is split about 50/50. Greek life is a ton of fun and not taken to seriously. If you're looking for a place with personal attention from professors, a social life, and a beautiful place to live than come here. But, if you are looking for a place where students openly embrace uniqueness and where students spend a ton of time engaged in political conversation, this might not be your place.I love it, others wont. But i said it before and i will say it forever… college is what you make it, life is what you make it. If you're unwilling to embrace change than you'll have a hard time with the new experience that college is going to bring you anywhere. Good luck!
