IPFW is a school of decent size, with plenty of opportunities for advancement. Not only can you obtain credits from IPFW towards a degree from either Purdue/Indiana Universities, you can attend neighboring technical colleges like Ivy Tech to get credits towards your degree. Freshman coming to IPFW fresh out of High School, have plenty opportunities to join various clubs and be an active student with intermural activities.

Each professor has different standards for their students and their involvement in obtaining their degree. However, it does happen where other students who apply effort to their degree goals run into quite a few students who want the professors to lower their expectations.

The professors are trying to help the students by doing this, yet with those who apply effort are frustrated by this sort of teaching. Each department may have certain things that may frustrate some students, yet providing everyone with everything they want this second is not obtainable in any setting. Professors and advisors are approachable, there are tutors available for students who are struggling with their academics. Many professors have teachers assistants who are also available to help students that are finding the courses difficult. It is important for each student who may not be certain about what they want to do for their career meet with their advisors, and try to set up courses that allow them to explore their options without scattering their credits randomly. IPFW allows growth and development for their students no matter if they are new to college or returning students. IPFW also has basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, soccer teams for students to support after class times. There are also opportunities for students who do well in their own academics to assist other students who do not. So you see, IPFW may have things that each individual will have to judge for themselves. Each opion is just that an opinion. Take the time to visit the campus, meet with the faculty, talk to other current/graduate students to come to your own conclusions. It is your education so it is for you to control!
