Good point about nursing and pharma programs. However, there will be no med school. State legislature does not want this. Pocatello isn't large enough to support a med school. If one happens anywhere, it will be in Boise at Meridian campus. But don't hold your breath. |
Major: Sociology (This Major's Salary over time)
ISU overall was a good school. I have to agree with most of the posts that it has a lot of downfalls but it did have a lot of good things about it. It is building a new campus and getting rid of some of its older 70's building in the process. It trys to capture school spirit but as a non-traditional school this is hard to do. It is rated one of the top nursing programs in the nation and has a great pharma program. It is opening Idaho's only med school in a few years that will be run out of the universities hospital. The town on the other hand is bad. They hate the school and could care less about its sports, students, or any thing ISU related even though it is the largest employer. So if you know where your headed and don't mind just going to a good school without alot of partying and the traditional college scene. ISU is an option. P.S. stear clear of the Sociological dept. not worth the time.
