The enrollment standards are obviously lax if you were accepted. |
Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I chose Capella because of its flexibility. I wanted to work fulltime and still get a degree. Overall, I found the experience extremely negative. Financial aid was a nightmare, the "course room" (what they call their online learning platform) crashed all the time, my professors didn't answer emails, and my "academic advisor" (if you can call her that) was more like an obnoxious saleswoman who acted crazed when I informed her I wouldn't be returning after my last term. I did a year with Capella and then moved on to a state school. I am now currently in an internship and doing awesome. I was told by my supervisor at my internship that she would never consider hiring someone with a degree from Capella. She said their admissions standards are lax, and degrees are based on fad. So, before you enroll do your research. Many employers don't like Capella. I was advised to not put them on my resume at all.
