The academics here are good, but nearly good enough to overlook the absolutely APPALLING social scene. Everything revolves around Greek life. EVERYTHING. They'll tell you at informational sessions that it doesn't, but it does. If you are a freshman, you have to make friends RIGHT AWAY otherwise you won't have any. There is literally a "window" that you can make friends during the first two or three days, and after that, forget about it. For a "good school," Trinity sure lets in a lot of unintelligent, unmotivated people. Very few are actually passionate about what they're studying, and many simply went to Trinity because their parents wanted them to go to a private, LAC - and their grades were not Amherst or Williams material. Basically, Trinity is lethal combination of students who worked very hard in high school who didn't get in anywhere else, and lazy boarding school kids whose parents picked the school for them because it was the most "prestigious" place they could get into with their mediocre grades. Although they aren't necessarily the majority, the financially elite run the social scene and aren't afraid to flaunt everything their parents worked hard for.
