Major: Video/Media (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated from UWF in 2005 and couldn't find a job. I spent 4 years saving up money thinking that going back to school was the way to go. I decided to go to UCF because it wasn't as "traditional" of a party school like FSU or UF. Only after one semester and a couple of weeks into the spring semester, I decided to leave and come back home. Just like any other college, you are forced to take fluff classes. I was an RTV production major, and felt like the classes were challenging, but too challenging. It's like you get to work a piece of equipment for the first time, then be expected to write, shoot, direct, and edit you work. More importantly, a lot of the work I was going to do wouldn't even go on my demo reel. Why am I putting so much work into this and getting very little out of it? Remeber, all colleges are businesses. When it comes to living arrangements, just hope you can stay at home. Save the rent and a lot of trouble.
