Overall Ferrum is ok. It really is what you make it. A lot of people hate it here just because they aren't creative enough to find things to do. There's always a party on campus, but you have to be smart with them or you will get caught by the ever present RAs, unless you are lucky and befriend one of them, which is always the smart thing to do. Yes, it is a rural, and I mean RURAL setting so if you are from Richmond or D.C. be warned, you knew what you were getting into. This is a small school, and there isn't much diversity. There are some really dumb people here, but most of them leave after first semester… The classes here are like most colleges, some are hard some are easy, but they are generally small and the teachers are always open to helping you whenever you need anything. Basically if you happen to get a good set of friends and some good classes Ferrum can be the best time you'll ever have, but it really is what you make it.
