Run, as far as you can and as fast as you can. You might not regret choosing Oakland your first semester, or even your first year, but you eventually will. The daily routine of driving there/parking/classes/driving home becomes mind numbing. You are going to make little no new friends. You are going to completely miss out on the entire college experience. Sure, you can live on campus, but it's not the same. There's no football in the Fall. There's basketball, but the team plays in the Summit League. Nobody outside of the Summit League gives a shit about the Summit League. S Yay, OU can make it into March Madness, but we will never make it past the first round. There is little to no school spirit outside of the 100 or so students who go to the basketball games. Everyone else wears other school's shirts. Also, by the time you realize your massive mistake, it is too late as a lot of your classes won't transfer elsewhere. If you have the grades to get into U of M or MSU, GO THERE. Trust me. Do NOT make the same mistake I did and stay home. I am going choosing Oakland for the rest of my life. I definitely should have gone away to a better school. Don't choose Oakland.
