Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I transferred to Simmons my junior year and found myself questioning as to why I did. The faculty is awesome, very friendly and approachable. There are a few faculty members who forget what it is to be in school and have to work and are a bit arrogant. The students are very cliquey and it is hard to make friend's if you do not go there from day one or live on the residence campus. The school has awful communication between departments and almost never address concern's or questions in a timely manner. The registrar's department is never on the same page as one another and can barely answer your questions. The school has too many requirements for general classes and to be honest most of them are idiotic. I came to Simmons because I heard great things about their nursing program. I have had very positive clinical experiences but feel as though the department is always waiting until the last minute to get things done and is chaotic. I am grateful for the degree I am getting and that people have told me Simmons nurses are great but I am sure that I will not attend grad school here.
