Shockingly, the areas that the lying tour guides show potential students and alumni who might give money to the school are all nice and clean and well maintained. The areas they don't show them are rundown, dirty, not maintained, and in some cases not even up to proper safety codes in the case of the Rouzer Hall elevator.

This is the campus that had a two-day blackout and ran Whiteford Hall off a generator for a semester because the infrastructure was so bad and Albert Norman Ward Hall (ANW) has had basement sewage floods.

These areas that they won't show you on tours are conveniently the places the students spend the most time in. The dorms. And they are some of the dingiest places I have ever seen in my life. Even the brand new North Village Apartments are already falling apart after 2-3 years.

The dining hall food is made by Sodexho, who also supply food to prisons.

Most of the students at McDaniel are people you won't ever want to see again after 4 years. And while you're there its basically just like high school if not worse. Everyone knows everyone secrets for good or for bad… usually for bad.
