If
it is snowing, raining, or sometimes just cloudy then don't
trust the PRT take the bus. Assuming ur a freshmen
my advice about the dorms is worth the read b/c
I've lived at 3 dorms. In order of time
lived:
Towers: Best food, Best night staff, closest to
football games, and basketball games. This is a freshmen
dorm it has community bathrooms with average sized rooms.
You will meet a lot of people here. Don't
start fights, puke, or sneak people in after 9 b/c
you will deal with cops (fines $) and get into
campus trouble (community service. The biggest issue with this place
is if you have downtown classes or like to go
to the bars b/c you will have to wait for
a bus every night or morning, where as if you
lived downtown classes are just a short walk away.
Summit-
Worst food on campus, but things could have change they
just re did the place last summer. Friendliest night
staff, and regular staff. Rooms are about the same
size as towers but if you can get an end
room get it b/c those are the biggest rooms in
the building trust me it's like 2 normal rooms.
You have suitemates that share a bathroom with you and
your roomate. The rec room is open at all
hrs.
Arnold Apartments- Mean nightstaff! I have
lived in dorms for 3 yrs and have never been
harassed this much. If you have your TV on
past 9 and they can hear it in the halls
they will make you turn it down (even though people
in other rooms can't hear it b/c the walls are
enforced with concrete!) Food is average somedays it is
really good other days it is just as bad as
summit. In apartments not in main you have your
own bathroom, stove, and fridge. This is great if
you like to eat normal food. These rooms are
bigger than the normal summit rooms, and about the same
size as summit rooms. But, if you get the
bigger room like I did it's really big, plus a
walkin closet. And if your roomate leaves or graduates
like mine did then you have a huge room with
1 walkin closet, another extera closet, and 2 of everything
all to yourself.
Don't go here if you don't like
cold weather. This is something I didn't know until
winter it's cold in WV for 4 months of the
yr.
