Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
As a local to Long Island, Stony Brook seemed like a good idea. Big school, with lots of programs. What I discovered as a school where the students, faculty, and administration are at total odds with eachother. Yes, it is inexpensive, but the experience is absolute misery. Spend the few extra bucks, get off of the Island, and go to a better school. Even the other SUNY campuses on LI offer friendlier enviroments. It seems like everyone is here wishing they were somewhere else. Students wish they were at a better school, and the faculty is waiting for another school to hire them. The Good: Low prices, lots of program optionsThe Bad: Self Segregating students, Faculty indifferent, massive classes (100+ students!), Crime The Ugly: Campus looks like a prison
