As a sophmore, I now refer to Niagara as my home away from home. As a student, there are many activities to participate in. Campus Activities offers various events and ongoings both on and off campus such as football games, hockey games, sight-seeing trips or different guests and speakers on campus. I often tell people that the more you participate in the ongoings on campus, the more your experience will be rewarding. While the campus is often surrounded by a cold chill, the campus is gorgeous with the landscaping and styles of each building. The faculty is extremely helpful and kind at this University. Every professor has office hours, and is welcoming upon your precense. All of my professors know my name, and that is why i enjoy the small size of Niagara. Classes are engaging and I truly find that they help to prepare me for my future as a Special Education Major. The dorms are a nice size and space, and definately promote the ideas of resident life. I live about thirty-minutes away; however, I love dorming and would not change my decision at any time. Making friends has been difficult for me; however, due to the clubs and activities i have made a great new group of friends who I hope to be friends with far beyond my years of graduation. The food at the dining hall is not the best, but it is not a major priority in my college experience. There are many options and foodservice often sends out surveys and questionaires to students in order to make changes to the ways of dining. Making friends, learning in classes, and helping to establish a better future are what my main concerns are. Each class that I have taken has been worth my time. I am able to see how the material that I have learned in the classroom will be applied to my life while working in the classroom. In addition, looking off campus, I often find my time in Lewiston as an enjoyable experience. This small and unique town is a fun place to go on the weekends or during the evenings for dinner or shopping. It is a small town with little shops and restaurants that I have come to truly enjoy and appreciate. I came to Niagara knowing one other person from my highschool. While he was my best-friend we have both gone separate ways and made two completely different groups of friends. Each of us has enjoyed our experience here at Niagara, and I personally, would not change anything.
