I have really enjoyed my time at CSU so far. I am a transfer student from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Both campuses are in a city, but Milwaukee's campus is on the east side, a good 10minute drive from downtown. I really like how close CSU is from the heart of the city, a mere 5 minute walk! Some people don't think there is much to do downtown, but you just have to know where to go. There are a lot of fun bars and restaurants on Euclid/W. 6th, including the Chocolate Room, BarRoom (which has college ID night on Thursdays-18 and up), and Cadillac Ranch. Besides the basic 100level classes, every class I've taken had no more than 40people. I don't feel like a number here, which I really like. CSU is also transitioning itself away from being a commuter school. The new dorms that will be ready this Fall look amazing! As does the new student center, which has many fast food joints, a game room, and a restaurant/bar and will also be completed by fall, if not sooner! The rec center is very nice and open from 5:45am-11pm Monday-Thursdays (and weekends) so it is very easy to find time to workout with classes. I don't like the hours of the library though, which are currently from 7:30am-10pm on M-Th, 7:30-6 F, 8-5 Saturday and 12-5 Sunday. I feel like the library should be open at least as long as the workout center, since this is a University and all, but when the library is open it's great and has a lot of resources available to students. :)
