The university research is going up. There are several proposed university projects, such as the $150 million Innovation Park that will house UWM?s engineering college, a $50 million School of Freshwater Sciences, a $75 million UWM integrated research complex on East Kenwood Boulevard, the acquisition of the Columbia Hospital site adjacent to the UWM campus for up to $31 million and a new $40 million School of Public Health at The Brewery development owned by Milwaukee developer Joseph Zilber.
