Ah, Fairfield. Where to begin?

So I am a freshman, class of 2013 (ignore the 2011 below).

Core Curriculum, which means lots of annoying classes you have to take. So far the workload feels like high school, might just be my classes though. Teachers are very approachable. Overall, not that difficult.

If you enjoy drinking most nights of the week, then this school is for you. If not, you might want to reconsider. The school's governing board FUSA prides itself on having things to do every Thurs, Fri, and Sat, but most of the stuff is over by ten or earlier, so if you're not into the party scene the only thing left to do is hang out in the dorm rooms which gets pretty old. The town of Fairfield itself is cute but its mostly shops that close early. Also, not being able to have a car till junior year really limits what you can do since the campus shuttle stops running at twelve. Unless you're close with upperclassmen, you're stuck.

Compared to other schools, the food here isn't that bad. Sure it gets repetitive, but there is enough stuff available that you can get creative and make up your own meal. A lot of the main meals seem really processed and unhealthy though, so I tend to stay away from those.

The students here really are all the same. Also, the little diversity that is here for the most part all stay together in packs. The schools is super small so it feels like high school. It's full of cliques and people don't tend to stray outside their groups of friends.

Overall, I'm seriously considering transferring because personally this school is just not the right fit for me. I wish I had chosen a bigger school with people who had more interests than just getting drunk every weekend.
