I would not encourage ANYONE to attend this university. The faculty is mediocre, can't speak good English, and unapproachable. Dorms are too far from campus. Tech support D-. The dorms are filled with thieves. Both semesters, had personal items stolen. Books,ipod,laptop! They picked the lock. The NIU campus police suck. A bunch of wanna be cops. Displayed blatant prejudices against white, middle class students. Caucasians are the minority on campus. Travel in packs at night. I was robbed twice. Once on campus,thanks NIU Police for having my back on safety, NOT!! It only took you guys 45 minutes to 'come to my rescue' Oh, but the football games are good.
