Iona Sucks. If you want any kind of social life or the typical "college experience" do not go here. You will come to find that everyone packs up and goes home on the weekends, and unless you go into the city there is nothing to do. New Rochelle is extremely ghetto, and numerous students have been mugged in the areas surrounding the college. The only parties to be found are on like tuesday nights and every weekend is completely dead. Greek life is a complete JOKE. The sororities and fraternitys dont even have houses. Academics are also a complete laughing matter. You will get an A in your classes simply for having a pulse. The administration staff at Iona are assholes, and if you want to transfer after half a year they try to make you pay the entire years worth of housing ($6500) Whatever you do, DO NOT PAY. make sure if you are planning on transferring you apply to your other schools and have them send out your transcripts before you tell them you are leaving. A lot of people I know who told them they were leaving before Christmas break had there transcripts held hostage by Iona until they paid up. Simply apply to all your schools, wait till you get in, and then tell iona in the middle of xmas break that you wont be coming back, that way they cant do shit if you dont pay the $6500. This is truly a TERRRIBLE SCHOOL
