The University of Rhode Island is one with a big campus feel. However outside of the campus, there is NOTHING. No culture, no places to go, no interesting people, no opportunities to be yourself and do what you want. It is incredibly frustrating trying to have fun outside the campus. The environment becomes uninteresting and competitively stale (offering little more than a strip mall over seven miles away.) If you want to get drunk all the time, see INCREDIBLY HOT GIRLS everywhere (tease-they're untouchable) and live on a cool campus, go here. But if you're looking for more whole college experience (not trying to PRETEND like college is crazy)then get out of here. As a matter of fact, get out of this state. It gets lame quick, offering no culture, but instead an undependable bus system taking you to providence, which is fun for a half hour at most. I just came back from a party which took me forty five minutes to drive to. Not even worth it. I'm transferring next year. Take my words into consideration as someone who has lived the URI lifestyle. UNIVERSITY OF CHODE ISLAND. I guess I just expected more out of college…
