NOVA isn't really as bad as people make it out to be. It is a great way for those of us who slacked off in high school and did not earn a high enough gpa to go to Mason or Tech or something… You dont necessarily have to stay here for 2 years either, if you maintain a very high gpa (>3.5) you can apply to most universities in VA and most likely will get in, after 2 semesters or 30 credits earned . The social life is awful, you will most likely meet somebody in your class, talk to them throughout the semester and then never see them again. The Faculty are surprisingly helpful, all of my professors so far have gone out their way to help me or any other student. NVCC is not a 4 year school,so keep in mind that you will not party here every weekend and have hookups with random drunk girls, BUT it is a great way to get your college career started so you can move on to bigger and better things.
