This review is very long as I have a bit (or more than a bit) to say.

I attended this school 12 years ago from 1998 to 1999. I had fairly good SAT's and a very high GPA in high school and Morgan was one of the few schools to offer me a full ride. Other schools offered partial scholarships or full scholarships upon me taking the SAT again and doing better but I wanted the full ride so I leaped at the chance to go to Morgan without doing proper research.

Sad to say, but I knew within my first month of being there I was not going to stay at this school longer than a year. I ended up transferring to U of MD, College Park.

Complaint No. 1 - STAFF/FACULTY

Unhelpful, smarmy and ineffective down to a tee. These people (and this includes professors, advisors, counselors, and all other workers) couldn't have cared less about offering assistance or guidance of any kind. I had professors, whom I had done exceptional work in their class throughout the entire semester, threaten to fail me for one missed or late assignment despite me having good reason.

Counselors refuse to help you do anything. Won't look up information for you .. instead they say

You can look that up yourself

despite it being right in front of them. They pretty much act as if you being there is a burden to their life. Without students you wouldn't have a job, would you dirtbag? Cafeteria staff seem to hate life, making faces and snide remarks while dumping mashed potatoes on your tray.

Complaint No. 2 - STUDENTS

Where do I start? Ghetto, uneducated, thugs, hoochies, uncle toms, sambos, coons, and so forth. Learning… What learning? These people could give two shits about an education. Partying, fitting in, being down,and appearing to be a baller seem to be paramount in these people's lives. Surrounding areas are vastly ghetto so expecting different from the clientele may be a bit far-fetched on my end, but after all is this not an institution of learning?

Arrogance on this campus is endless. People having basic respect and courtesy is almost non-existent. How someone can act as if they are better than others when they both go to the same sorry ass low level HBCU is beyond me. The females think they are goddesses and while I'm all for respecting my black queens someone has to make these weave-wearing, jive-talking, education-neglecting birds aware that they are nothing more than future babymamas to bobby brown or some washed up rapper.

Oh btw, if you don't smoke weed or drink alcohol or talk trash to women all day, then you are not a " real nigga " at this school as I learned from several conversations I either overheard or was involved in.

Save your money , don't go here. I'm writing this review 12 years after the fact because I have several cousins that are graduating school this year and all have asked me about HBCU's and Morgan in particular. While it may be a good move financially for some of them, the long term ramifications are detrimental to say the least.
