Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
Going to this school is one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life. Not only is the school located at an inconvenient location, the school has a student body, mainly the corps of cadets, that is arrogant and close-minded. I have never seen examples of racism before I went to this school. I have lost count of how many times I have heard cadets talking about blowing up the Middle East or killing illegal immigrants. Some cadets have a problem with the civilian students, as if being a cadet makes them exceptional. There is a major hazing problem on campus because some upperclassman think they can do whatever they want with freshman. These cadets are supposed to be our future military officers? Hopefully, some NCO will be put some of these cadets in their place. I have the feeling that some of these cadets think they are in the real military, even when they are not. Many of the cadets have a false sense of what the military is like, only basing it off war movies and novels. The freshman are taught to idolize their cadre, rather than to get the most out of their education. Some put more effort in their PT test than their final exams. Cadets talk so much about Corps gossip because it is the only interesting part of their lives. On weekends, cadets come back to the barracks creating chaos around the building, which only causes people to pay dorm damages. If the Corps of Cadets did not exist, then maybe this school would be a bit more tolerable. As a cadet, I feel so ashamed and embarrassed to be associated with this group of students. You think West Pointers and Academy graduates are arrogant? The cadets here bring it to a new level. You wonder why only 1/10 of 1% only come here? Don't come to this school, unless you want to waste your college years putting up with bulls*** and idiots. There are so many better colleges out there.
