Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a freshman and I am transferring after this year. This school has a great reputation and it is one of the up and coming universities but in order to go here, it definitely depends what kind of person you are. If you are looking for the typical college experience do not come here. This school has a very professional environment and I have not found the majority of students friendly or approachable. Everyone is here to do their co-ops, do good in school, and get a job and go into their field of work as soon as possible. If you want to come here you either have to be someone like this, or someone who will find other things to do in boston and not rely on the school at all. When I have gone out it has been mostly to parties and frats that are not connected to NEU at all. Boston is a fun city, especially for those over 21. However, if you want a typical college experience with frats, football games, sports, school spirit, and friendliness, do not come here. It is definitely unlike most colleges, because of its location right in the city and because of the 5 year structure. You definitely need to be serious about jobs and working, and not care that this will take away from the social and fun aspect that most colleges should have. I picked Northeastern because I knew how good of a school it is and the reputation it had, and I figured the social life, dorm life, etc would be just as fun as any other school but i was wrong. In my dorm, no one talks to each other and there's no hanging out in other peoples rooms or going out with your whole floor like I expected college to be like. Its just a very stuffy competitive unfriendly environment and I wish I had gone somewhere else.
