If you are looking for a good college experience, avoid Young Harris College like a damn plague. Don't get me wrong, most of the profs are great, but a handful of them are awful, just the worst kind of arrogant and condescending pricks imaginable. The administration here is reminiscent of Nazi Germany, a bunch of power-tripping Christian fascist that are just down and out crazy. In just one semester our dean has managed to expel 8 students. Also, this is a dry campus so no alcohol even if your 21, the school fines you if you are caught and fines start a $100. Also, if you get in trouble off campus,i.e. drinking, you still get punished. Every cop in the two counties surrounding the school have the dean on speed dial. Oh, and pot smokers, by coming here you place yourself in immediate danger, they WILL expel you for weed, period, even if your busted off campus. And the food is awful, prisoners have it better than us when it comes to a descent meal. Also, about half the students here are extreme religious fanatics that force religion on you every chance they get, they are literally the Al-Qaeda of Christians, for example they harass the hell out of gay students and the administration does nothing about it. And if the lack of a true college experience wasn't enough to keep you away from here than you should also know that basic educational components are seriously lacking. The internet rarely works, the library is severely understocked and departments are extremely underfunded. Not only that but this college is in extreme debt and I would love/hate to think what would happen if it closed shop due to bankruptcy. All in all, if you want a good college experience with an active campus life, by all means, go somewhere else.
