I'm going to TSTC-Waco for Computer Networking. Before I started going to school here computers were my thing, I was good with computers without even knowing everything about them. So I assumed going into IT would suite me well.
After two years here, it has done nothing but bore me about everything related with computers. Most teachers wont even begin lecture until they go off and tell some irrelevant story that will last for 30 minutes.

The way the classes are scheduled makes it really difficult to get anything else done during the day besides school. I live an hour away from the Waco campus, my class starts at 8 A.M. and I'm usually done by 9:30 A.M. and my next class doesn't start until 1 P.M.. They don't cluster the classes right, I could get into one maybe two more classes in a day and have been out of this school already.
I can only speak for my department but the teachers DO NOT care about the students. I've asked for advice about getting a job in another country with every teacher I've had during every semester and none of them gave me even the slightest bit of help. The material that is covered in class doesn't seem to have any relevance to what we will actually need to know for a job.
I'm sure this just seems like a rant but if you went there you would understand what I'm talking about. With that said I do not recommend this school to anybody, friend or foe. Stay away from TSTC.
