A friend told about this site, so I would like to be as fair as I can for the overall quality of Fort Hays State University. I'm originally from Sacramento and was turned on by a recommendation from a family friend about this school. So I decided to try something different with a new change of pace. In all honesty the quality of the education is good for the price. It's quite affordable, especially if you are an in-stater.;) Everything a respectable university should have is offered. Sports, recreation, reasonably small classes, etc. If you are familiar with midwest deserted villages, this school might be for you. If not, be warned: This place is so slow it is "backwards." And I mean backwards in every sense of the word. Ok, now to share what is a little scary about this small isolated western Kansas town.
