ASU
is a very good university to attend as a freshman.
75% of the student body are actually freshmen (though you
might want to take that as you will, considering ASU
is a school that also offers graduate programs). The problem
is, I transferred here as a Junior from A&M, due
to financial problems and having to find a less expensive
university. I now wish that I would have rethought that
decision. The computer science degree program here is in need
of much help. The only courses that are offered are
for students that want to become video game developers. The
dean of our department has decided to stop offering internet
technologies, software engineering, all networking classes, internship programs, and several
other classes that need to be offered. I am so
frustrated with having nothing but gaming courses.
The health clinic is poor, the town
of San Angelo has very little to offer, there are
very few extracurricular activities to become involved in on campus,
I was an RA and the housing here is frightening,
and the school spirit is the worst that I have
ever seen. The university is also in tremendous debt, having
to cut spending everywhere.
ASU needs help... so much
is wrong with this university.
