Augustana College

I did not have many expectations coming into this school. However, it has been better than I thought it would.

CONS:

Super small campus

Lots of parties on weekends, which make it hard to meet people if you don't party (like me)

Very cliquey (like high school), another reason it's hard to make friends

Intramurals are confusing and not easy to be part of

Most students are from Sioux Falls or some small town in southern MN or SD

Super old buildings and gross much of the time

Freshmen and sophomores only have 2 options for housing, and both are dorm buildings.

Weekends get boring

PROS:

Professors are very accessible and helpful with schoolwork

Althought the campus buildings are old, the campus itself is pretty

Many activities for students are planned, such as movies shown in the Back Alley and lots of dances

If I could do it over, I would not have chosen Augustana, and I still haven't given up the idea of transferring somewhere else. However, you do become used to the school, so I will most likely stay another year at least. Hope this helps!
